In the first half I had missed a lot of possibilities, but l after the second rest day luck was on my side. Before the last round I was trailing the leaders by half a point and I had White against one of the leaders Peter Leko, who had had an excellent tournament so far. From childhood I read a lot about such a games: White is half a point behind and needs a win, Black is leading and will be satisfied with a draw. Whose task is easier? Which strategy is better to apply? Polugaevsky-Portisch from the Interzonal Petropolis 1973 was always an example for me (excellently annotated by the winner in the tournament book). However, I decided to use another tactic and joined the theoretical discussion. Welche Strategie sollte man besser wählen?
