CLOSED-WON LOOKALIKES WITH A LIVE TENDER SIGNAL
A free Clay workflow from Revenanas
Guide: https://www.revenanas.com/workflows/clay-closed-won-lookalikes-tender-signal

WHAT IT DOES
Reads why you won deals in HubSpot, finds companies that look like those
customers, checks official tender websites for each one, and saves which of
them are in the same buying situation right now. Every result comes with the
link to the official notice, so you can check it yourself.

BEFORE YOU START (about 10 minutes, once)

1. Put Clay's command-line tool on your computer
   - Install Node.js 22 or newer from https://nodejs.org
   - Open Terminal (Mac) or PowerShell (Windows) and run:
       npm install -g @claypi/cli
       clay login
A browser window opens. Sign in and tick your Clay workspace.
Signed into several? Pick one with: clay workspaces switch <id>
(clay workspaces list shows the IDs)

2. Add six company properties in HubSpot
(Settings > Properties > Company properties > Create property)

Internal name Type What goes in it
why_we_won Multi-line text Why the deal was won, in the customer's words
winning_signal Dropdown select The event that made them buy, e.g. public_sector_tender
signal_keywords Single-line text A few words describing that event
meddpicc_summary Multi-line text Champion, pain, competition
     clay_domain Single-line text The company's website, e.g. acme.com
segment_status Dropdown select Two options: closed_won_seed and closed_lost_suppression

Fill them in on a handful of closed-won companies (segment_status =
closed_won_seed). Mark any closed-lost companies you never want suggested
   with closed_lost_suppression.

3. Connect HubSpot in Clay (Settings > Connections), if it isn't already.

INSTALL (about 1 minute)

   Mac: double-click "Install (Mac).command"
If macOS says it can't be opened, right-click it and choose Open.
   Windows: double-click "Install (Windows).bat"
Or: open Terminal in this folder and run python3 install.py

The installer checks you're signed in to Clay, shows which workspace it will
use and asks before changing anything. It then creates ten "Signal Loop"
fields in Clay Audiences and adds the workflow as an unpublished draft.
Nothing runs until you run it.

RUN IT

1. Open the link the installer prints.
2. If a step asks you to choose an account (HubSpot, Perplexity), pick yours.
3. Click Run.
4. Open Clay Audiences. Each company now has a Signal Loop Qualification
Status (Qualified, Not qualified, Unclear or Suppressed), a one-line
summary of the signal and the link to the official notice.

MAKE IT YOURS

- "Find 10 lookalikes": it follows your seed companies with no other
filters. Add countries, company size or industry here to match your market.
- The AI decision compares each company with your own why_we_won and
winning_signal from HubSpot, so the better those are written, the better
  the matches.

GOOD TO KNOW

- Each lookalike uses one web search and one AI decision, which use Clay
credits. Try it with a few seed companies first.
- It searches UK and EU procurement sites. To look for a different buying
signal, edit the prompts in the "Research" and "Claygent" steps.
- Open the source link before you quote it. A notice can name a product that
a reseller sold, rather than the company that makes it.
- Next step: the "Qualified account to a gated Lemlist handoff" workflow picks
up every Qualified company and drafts outreach for it.
