ROUTE HUBSPOT LEADS TO THE RIGHT REP
A free Clay workflow from Revenanas
Guide: https://www.revenanas.com/workflows/hubspot-clay-lead-routing

WHAT IT DOES
When a new, unowned lead arrives, it works out the territory and segment,
picks the available rep with the most room, and prepares the HubSpot owner
update. It never takes a lead away from someone who already owns it, and it
holds the lead for review if no rep fits.

BEFORE YOU START (about 5 minutes, once)

1. Put Clay's command-line tool on your computer
   - Install Node.js 22 or newer from https://nodejs.org
   - Open Terminal (Mac) or PowerShell (Windows) and run:
       npm install -g @claypi/cli
       clay login
A browser window opens. Sign in and tick your Clay workspace.
Signed into several? Pick one with: clay workspaces switch <id>
(clay workspaces list shows the IDs)

INSTALL AND TEST (about 2 minutes)

   Mac: double-click "Install (Mac).command"
If macOS says it can't be opened, right-click it and choose Open.
   Windows: double-click "Install (Windows).bat"
Or: open Terminal in this folder and run python3 install.py --run-tests

The installer asks before changing anything, adds the workflow to your Clay
workspace as an unpublished draft, then runs three test leads through it:
one that already has an owner, one that should be assigned, and one with no
matching rep. The tests use no Clay credits and write nothing to HubSpot.

MAKE IT YOURS

- reps-starter.csv shows the rep list the workflow expects: owner ID,
territory, segment, whether they're available, their current load and
their capacity. Replace it with your own team.
- The workflow stops at a HubSpot-ready owner update. Add a HubSpot step at
the end when you're ready for it to write the owner for real.
