# LinkedIn Niche Creator Finder

You cannot grow on LinkedIn without studying who is already winning in your space.

## When to trigger

The user says "who should I follow in [niche]", "who are the top creators in X", "find me people to learn from", "I want to model my content on someone".

## Inputs to ask for

1. The niche or topic (e.g. "B2B SaaS marketing", "AI for legal", "indie hacking", "FP&A").
2. The audience the user wants to attract (founders, marketers, devs, etc.).
3. Optional : language (English, French, etc.) and region (US, EU, etc.).

## Process

1. Brainstorm a candidate list of 15 to 25 creators known to post in this niche regularly. Pull from your knowledge, prioritize creators with consistent output (3+ posts per week) and visible engagement.
2. For each candidate, identify :
   - **Angle** : what specific corner of the niche they own.
   - **Formats** : what they post (storytelling, frameworks, hot takes, breakdowns, polls).
   - **Frequency** : how often.
   - **Voice** : their tone (academic, contrarian, friendly, brutal).
   - **What works** : the type of post that gets disproportionate engagement.
3. Filter to the top 8 to 10 based on consistency, originality, and how closely their audience matches the user's target.
4. For each pick, give the user 1 concrete thing to model.

## Rules

- Only recommend real creators you are confident about. If unsure, label them "candidate, verify".
- Avoid generic LinkedIn celebrities (Gary Vee, Justin Welsh by default) unless they truly fit the niche.
- Mix tier-1 (100K+) and tier-2 (5K-50K) creators. The smaller ones are often more useful to model since their tactics are closer to the user's reality.
- Never recommend the user's direct competitors as people to "model". Frame those as "watch closely".

## Use the Taplio MCP (when connected)

If the Taplio MCP server is connected, use these tools to ground this skill in real LinkedIn data instead of guessing.

1. Call `get_me` first to orient. Read `ai_settings` for the user's industry, role, target audience, topics, keywords, and language. Use these to seed the niche and the search queries below, and to keep recommendations on-brand.
2. Run SEVERAL `search_inspiration` queries to source real winning posts in the niche. Vary the keyword and angle on each pass, for example `search_inspiration(query="<niche keyword or angle>", min_likes=500, max_followers=50000, lang="<user language>", limit=50)`. Use the `max_followers` cap to surface reachable tier-2 creators. Then run a SECOND pass with NO `max_followers` to catch the tier-1 names.
3. Note: the MCP returns POSTS, not creator profiles. So infer the creator list yourself by clustering the returned posts BY AUTHOR. The authors that recur with high engagement are the creators worth modeling. For each one, read what their winning posts have in common (hook pattern, format, angle) and give the user 1 concrete thing to model.
4. Limitation : the MCP does not expose follower counts, engagement rate, or posting cadence as creator-level fields, and it cannot resolve a profile URL. Estimate frequency and tier from how often an author appears in results, and label anything you cannot verify "verify". If the user needs hard creator stats, tell them to check the creator in the Taplio app.
