The Arkwright Platform
Industrial AI built by people who've worked the floor. Lange USA LLC brings 40+ years of hands-on experience in metallurgy, mining, and heavy manufacturing to every deployment. Every application runs on your hardware, in your facility, under your control — not ours.
Application Ecosystem
Arkwright is not a single tool — it's a coordinated suite of industrial applications designed to work together from day one. Four applications ship with every deployment. Additional capabilities are available through the in-platform marketplace and activated on your timeline. All apps run through the Hub with role-based access control, so every user sees exactly what they need to see.
Platform Architecture
Arkwright is engineered as an integrated hardware-and-software stack. There are no loose integrations to manage, no third-party middleware to license, and no single point of failure that lives in someone else's cloud. The platform is built around three principles: edge-first compute, modular application deployment, and data sovereignty at every layer.
Arkwright Hub
The Hub eliminates the fragmented access patterns that plague industrial operations — shared SCADA passwords, bookmarked one-off tools, inconsistent access by shift. Every user arrives at a single authenticated entry point and sees a role-appropriate view of the tools and data that are relevant to them. Nothing more, nothing less.
Arkwright Collector
The Collector is the data foundation that every other Arkwright application is built on. It speaks the languages your control systems already speak — translating, buffering, and delivering process data into a unified historian without gaps, delays, or data loss. Whether you're running a modern Rockwell line, a legacy Siemens installation, or a mix of both, the Collector connects without ripping and replacing what's already working.
| Protocol | Use Case | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| EtherNet/IP | Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs | Native CIP support |
| OPC-UA | Universal industrial standard | Secure, encrypted |
| Modbus TCP/RTU | Legacy and modern devices | TCP and serial RTU |
| Siemens S7 | S7-300/400/1200/1500 | S7comm protocol |
| BACnet | Building automation | IP and MS/TP |
| CSV / Bulk Import | Historical data migration | Batch ingestion |
- Store-and-forward buffering — data integrity maintained through network interruptions and planned outages
- Automatic tag discovery for supported protocols — no manual tag entry required
- Edge preprocessing with configurable filtering, aggregation, and deadband — only meaningful data moves forward
- Built-in historian with configurable retention policies and compression
- Tag aliasing and engineering unit conversion handled at the collection layer
Arkwright Drive
Industrial operations run on documentation — SOPs, inspection records, engineering drawings, material certificates, compliance files. Drive brings AI-powered search and structured access to all of it, without routing sensitive operational documents through external cloud services. Every search, every retrieval, every version change stays on your network.
Arkwright Visualizer
The Visualizer turns historian data into live operational intelligence — process trends, KPI panels, equipment status, energy consumption — presented in dashboards that operators and engineers actually use. No BI consultants, no SQL required. If you know your process, you can build the dashboard.
- Drag-and-drop dashboard builder — configured by engineers, not developers
- Per-widget AI analysis — right-click any data point to get an immediate AI-generated interpretation
- Live data bindings directly from the Collector historian — always current, never stale
- Custom process flow animations and P&ID-style visualizations
- Drill-down navigation between dashboards for investigation and root cause workflows
- Mobile-responsive layouts optimized for plant-floor tablets and control room displays
- Role-based dashboard visibility — operators see operations, managers see performance
Arkwright Analyst
Analyst removes the database administrator from the loop for everyday analytics. Engineers and operations managers can explore process data, generate statistical summaries, and produce formatted reports without writing a single line of SQL. The Expert tier extends this into cross-source analysis for more demanding investigative and reporting requirements.

Arkwright Trends
Raw process data tells you what happened. Trends tells you what's about to happen. Statistical anomaly detection runs continuously across your historian tags, flagging deviations that fall outside normal operating envelopes — not arbitrary thresholds set once and forgotten, but adaptive baselines that reflect how your process actually behaves. When something is drifting, accelerating, or correlating in unexpected ways, Trends surfaces it before it surfaces as downtime.
- Z-Score Anomaly Detection — statistically rigorous outlier identification calibrated to your process, not generic alarm limits
- Rate-of-Change Analysis — catches accelerating degradation patterns that steady-state monitoring misses entirely
- Multi-Tag Correlation — analyse relationships between process variables simultaneously to identify compounding conditions
- AI-generated trend reports with plain-language summaries for shift handovers and management review
- Configurable thresholds feed directly into Arkwright Alerts for immediate notification to the right personnel
Arkwright Assistant
Assistant is not a generic chatbot pointed at industrial data. It's a purpose-built AI interface connected to your historian, your document library, your maintenance records, and your process context — all running locally, all staying on your network. The ArkEngine skill system routes each query to the right data source and returns answers grounded in your actual operations, not hallucinated generalizations.
Arkwright Intelligence
Intelligence is the layer that most vendors would call an API call to a cloud model. For Arkwright, it's an on-premise vector search and retrieval engine that runs entirely within your network boundary. Documents are embedded, indexed, and queried locally — meaning your operational knowledge never touches an external inference endpoint, and retrieval performance is not subject to internet latency or third-party availability.
Arkwright Maintenance
The Maintenance Suite is what 40 years of working in furnace rooms, mine shafts, and production floors looks like when it's been turned into software. Equipment doesn't fail without warning — it degrades, vibrates differently, runs hotter, and pulls more current. The Maintenance Suite captures those signals, correlates them against your asset history, and tells your team what needs attention — before the shift ends, not after the incident report.
Arkwright Log Book
Paper shift logs get lost, misread, and left incomplete at the end of long shifts. Log Book replaces them with a structured digital record that captures what happened, who approved it, and what needs to follow up — with a full audit trail attached to every entry.
- Structured digital shift log entries with configurable templates per process area
- Multi-level approval chain — operator → supervisor → manager, enforced in sequence
- Calibration management with due-date tracking and certificate storage directly in the record
- AI-generated shift handover summaries that surface the entries that actually matter
- Full audit trail — every entry is timestamped, user-attributed, and tamper-evident
- Direct integration with Maintenance for automatic work order creation from shift observations
Arkwright Alerts
Industrial alert systems fail in two directions: either everything triggers an alarm and operators learn to ignore them, or the thresholds are set so conservatively that real events go unnoticed. Arkwright Alerts is built to avoid both failure modes — using ML-powered deduplication to filter noise and configurable escalation chains to ensure that critical events always reach someone with authority to act.
Audit & Compliance
Compliance in industrial operations is not a quarterly exercise. It's the continuous record of what happened, who was responsible, and whether the data can be trusted. Arkwright's Audit & Compliance module maintains that record automatically across every application on the platform.
Hardware — Edge Server
We offer four hardware tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each is custom-configured for the requirements of your operation and your chosen sovereignty tier. Pure Edge deployments, where all AI compute runs entirely on-site with no external connectivity, require more onboard compute and are matched to our higher-tier hardware accordingly. Hybrid and Sovereign Cloud deployments can be served by a lighter configuration, since portions of the compute workload are distributed differently.
The right box for your plant is determined during the site assessment — not chosen from a dropdown. Every unit is built to operate in industrial environments: dusty, loud, hot, and running 24/7.
Hardware — NAS Storage
Operational data, documents, and the AI knowledge base need storage that matches the demands of a production environment — always available, hot-swappable, and sized for long retention horizons.
The Arkwright NAS is a dedicated industrial storage unit, directly connected to the Edge Server and configured for continuous operation. It scales from 4 to 24 hot-swap bays depending on your data volume and retention requirements, with RAID configurations available across the full range for redundancy appropriate to your uptime requirements.
Storage capacity is determined during the deployment planning process based on your historian tag count, document library size, and target retention period. Like the compute hardware, the NAS is sized for your operation — not averaged across everyone else's.
Data Sovereignty
Arkwright offers three configurable sovereignty tiers. Every deployment is configured to match your organisation's security posture, regulatory requirements, and infrastructure constraints. There is no one-size-fits-all approach — the right tier is determined by where your data must live and who is permitted to touch it.
Deployment Process
A structured five-step process designed to get you to operational intelligence without disrupting production. Every deployment is handled directly by Lange USA LLC — we don't hand you a manual and wish you luck.
