Joe Wisniewski works on healthcare price transparency and provider identity. The question underneath most of his work is simple: which NPIs, tax IDs and CCNs belong to the same organization, who owns that organization, and what the published rates actually say once you can line them up.

He got his start at Turquoise Health in 2021. At the time, barely 1 in 4 hospitals had posted rates. Today, 99% of all hospitals have posted their data online. He is building Luhn Health, a provider record that fuses scattered IDs into one record you can check and follows the owners up the chain. He also supports rural hospitals with price transparency compliance and underpayments work.
